Future Meetings

As we enter a New Year, the Program Committee continues to find knowledgeable and interesting guest speakers:

Tuesday, February 10, 2009: Graham Findlay B.Sc. (Eng), MBA., our February speaker, is an engineer who has moved from working on the generation of hydroelectric power to that of wind-generated power. The firms he has founded have created wind-powered electrical generating “farms” across Canada. Mr. Findlay will talk about this new and important source of electric power and how it is turning consumers of electricity into producers – even in their own back yards.

Tuesday, March 10, 2009 : In anticipation of the arrival of spring, the Program Committee expects to have a gardening expert as our March speaker.

In the event of a sudden cancellation of a scheduled speaker, Harry Needham will present “A Tale of Six Grandfathers; or how a bunch of vets started up a place called Ontario.”
