Speakers

January 9, 2009

Detective Bob Arbour, our January speaker, has been a member of the Ottawa Police Service since 1981. He worked for twelve years in Patrol Services (the front line of every police force) and for seventeen years in the Tactical and Explosive Disposal Unit.

Since the spring of 2002, he has worked in Investigations, specializing in payment card fraud and identity theft.

Bob will discuss just how these frauds take place and how you can protect yourself against them.

February 10, 2009

Graham Findlay B.Sc. (Eng), MBA., our February speaker, is an engineer who has moved from working on the generation of hydroelectric power to that of wind-generated power. The firms he has founded have created wind-powered electrical generating “farms” across Canada. Mr. Findlay will talk about this new and important source of electric power and how it is turning consumers of electricity into producers – even in their own back yards.
